O'Brien & Wall was founded in Santa Barbara, California in 1997 by Mr. Christopher Wall, P.E.  Mr. Wall started his Civil Engineering career in 1987 at the County of Santa Barbara Public Works Department Roads Design Division as an Engineering Technician.  There, he developed his skills and experience in road design, grading and drainage, construction inspection and structural bridge detailing to mention a few.   Since the founding of O'Brien & Wall, he has been involved in numerous projects that include roadway design, grading, drainage, subdivisions, water and wastewater design and rehabilitation, storm water management, open channel flow design and flood plain management.  He has also provided multiple professional Land Surveyors with mapping services, construction staking calculations and software customization.   

 

O’Brien & Wall is a small consulting firm that has been turning referred clients into repeat customers for over eighteen years.   Our staff continually strives to improve their skills, knowledge and insight not only in the Civil Engineering and the Land Surveying professions but also as Computer Aided Design consultants (Land Development Desktop and Civil 3D).  We have introduced numerous local Land Surveyors and Civil Engineers to technology and techniques which are leveraged to reduce errors, increase productivity, facilitate inter-disciplinary design coordination, project phasing, scheduling, and bid item quantity calculation accuracy.  

 

Any firm can follow a check list of project items, but we embrace the client’s goals as our own by listening to our clients and using a combination of skill and determination to see that our clients reach their goals.  We strongly believe that we are to serve our clients faithfully, honestly and to the best of our abilities.  Most projects require quick turn-around time and close client coordination. Our professional staff possesses the experience necessary to handle all phases of a project, including working closely with clients and reviewing agencies.
